Thousands of balloons, lots of people and 104 baptisms! This was all part of the Summer Party at Embrace Church in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Attendance and enthusiasm for worship can be a challenge for churches during the summertime.  Embrace comes alive with a summer party.

campuses: the 57th Street Campus and Summit Ave Campus in Sioux Falls, Tea Campus and

About Embrace

 Sioux Falls, South Dakota is a growing city.  It serves the needs to many people who are new to the community, new to church are giving church another chance.

In 2006 Embrace started worship with 32 people.  Things hve exploded since then.  Now over 2,000 people worship each week across four campuses 57th Street Campus, Tea Campus, Online Campus and Sumitt Ave Campus. 

Here are a few highlights of the growth of Embrace by date:

July 1st, 2007 – Adam Weber officially became Embrace pastor.
March 30th, 2008 – Embrace started meeting weekly on Sunday nights.
April 13th, 2008 – Launched as a church.
September 13th, 2009 – Embrace moved into a new home at 69th & Cliff Avenue.
February 20th, 2011 – Embrace was officially chartered as a church.
September 11th, 2011 – Embrace moved into their 57th Street location.
March 1st, 2012 – Purchased 57th Street location.
September, 2013 – Embrace was recognized by Outreach Magazine as the 40th Fastest Growing Church in America.
January 12th, 2014 –Launched an Online Campus.
April 6th, 2014 – Launched the Tea Campus.
September, 2014 – Embrace was recognized by Outreach Magazine as the 58th Fastest Growing Church in America.
February 15th, 2015 – Launched the Summit Ave Campus.

Launching Summit Ave Campus

Embrace Church launched its Summit Ave Campus Sunday, February 15, 2015 with over 480 in attendance. The Summit Ave Campus, which is at 2102 South Summit Avenue in Sioux Falls, is located within the Sioux Falls Seminary building and is just blocks from Augustana College and the University of Sioux Falls.

Chris Haugan serves as the pastor at the Summit Ave Campus. “We can’t be more excited to start holding services,” said Pastor Haugan, who grew up less than two miles from the new campus and also graduated from the University of Sioux Falls. “Our hope is that this is a place where people can come, connect and be real, no matter where they are in life or where they’ve been.”

Sioux Falls Seminary is thrilled to welcome Embrace’s Summit Ave Campus as a tenant and
partner in ministry. "God calls all of us to participate in the work He is doing, and partnerships
like this enable people and institutions to serve in unique and powerful ways,” said Greg
Henson, President of Sioux Falls Seminary. "God has blessed us with an amazing
building. We are excited to share it with others."

All Embrace locations offer the same dynamic, relevant message along with live music. The
Summit Ave Campus will also offer (e)Kids Children’s Church for all kids in nursery through 5th
grade during each service.
