Mavis Stearns, 85, died November 11, 2018 at Dow Rummel Village in Sioux Falls, SD.

Mavis was an active member of Canton United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. Over the years, she held numerous leadership positions at the local, district and conference level of The United Methodist Church.

Visitation is Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Service in Canton, South Dakota. The family will be present from 5:30-7:30 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.  A Celebration of Life will be held at Canton United Methodist Church on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.
