Mission u is rapidly approaching.  Southern Mission u will be held July 9-12, 2015 on the campus of Dakota Wesleyan University (DWU) in Mitchell, South Dakota.  Northern Mission U will be held July 16-19, 2015 on the campus of the University of Jamestown, Jamestown, North Dakota. You can be enriched and blessed by experiencing Mission u.

The geographic study for 2015 and 2016 is “Latin America--People and Faith”. This study will take into consideration cultural identity, language, history and even religious affinity of the region.

Gloria Borgman will be teaching the Latin America study.  Gloria got “hooked” on Volunteer in Mission while helping to build a school in Haiti with her church in 1999.  Since then her mission travels have taken her to Bolivia, Haiti twice more, and she continues to lead medical teams to Honduras at least once a year.  She is an active member of Spearfish UMC, Solar Oven Partners advisory board, and is Dakotas Conference Volunteer in Mission coordinator. 

Gloria is a retired RN. Gloria and husband Ron have raised 4 children and 1 foster child, and now have 11 very special grandchildren.  In her “spare” time she enjoys family, quilting, camping, and travel.
