Holy God, we had so many hopes for General Conference. Hopes for breakthrough, resolution, and finding a way forward.
We didn’t expect postponement. We didn’t anticipate all of the ways that our world and our lives would be turned upside down throughout these past two years.
In this time of unexpected waiting, help us to show love and respect for those we agree with and those we disagree with.
Help us to be the grace-filled people that you call us to be. Make a way for us as Christians, as churches, and as a denomination.
In Jesus’ name, we pray.
