Evelyn Melvina (Bidleman) Whitney, 101, Rapid City passed away February 23, 2017, at West Hills Village in Rapid City, South Dakota. Evelyn was the spouse of Rev. Frank Whitney, deceased.

Together Frank and Evelyn served the South Dakota churches of: Lane / Viola; Elk Point / Richland / Burbank; Gregory / Fairmont / Iona; Miller / Greenleaf; Lead / Terraville; Arlington / Bruce; Pierre; Webster / Bristol; Separfish; Rapid Valley / Caputa.

A memorial visitation will be held Thursday, March 2, 2017, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Kirk Funeral Home in Rapid City. A Celebration of Life service will be Friday, March 3, 2017, at 10:30 am at Rapid City Canyon Lake United Methodist Church.
