Verlaine Walkes, 92, of Rochester, Minnesota, died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016, at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, Minnesota. Verlaine is the spouse of Rev. Roland Walkes, deceased.

Together Verlaine and Roland served the Dakotas Conference churches of Butler; Monroe / Brothersfield; Yankton; McLaughlin; Eureka / Artas; Clark / Garden City.

A celebration of life will be held November 12, 2016 at 11 a.m at Evangel United Methodist Church, 2645 Broadway Ave N, Rochester, Minnesota.
