Doris Gist, 93, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, died on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls. Doris is the spouse of Rev. Rodney Gist, retired elder of the Dakotas Confernce.

Together Doris and Rod served the Dakotas Conference at Viborg/ Irene; Sioux Falls First; Britton / Langford; Canistota / Salem; Canistota / Riverside (Presbyterian); Spearfish; Gregory Larger Parish; and Canton. They also served at Louth and Lincolnshire in the United Kingdom. In retirement, Doris and Rod were active at First United Methodist Church in Sioux Falls and the Dakotas Camp and Retreat ministries.

A memorial service will be held Monday, February 20, at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The service can be viewed at https://firstchurchsf.online.church/. Visitation, with the family present, will be held prior to the service from 9:00-11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church of Sioux Falls.
