THE REV. DR. SHAWN R. MOORE is the senior pastor of Living Spirit United Methodist Church in Minneapolis. Moore is a former U.S.
Navy security specialist and previously worked as a police officer in Brooklyn Center, Minn. With over 10 years of combined work in law enforcement and law enforcement training, Moore continues to work with police officers on implicit bias training. He also teaches reconciliation studies at Bethel University and criminal justice and diversity at Metropolitan State University. Moore recently completed his doctoral studies in racial reconciliation with a focus on South African tensions from the United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities. He has a master’s degree in cultural anthropology and missiology from Bethel University and is a certified life coach.
