Psalm 146:1-4 "Life in Spite of Death"

Can’t you imagine the psalmist bursting through the front door of the house, running down the street, and sharing this news with everyone around? “Praise the Lord!” the psalmist exclaims. “Do not trust ordinary people because they are limited. Trust God who is forever!”

We find it so easy to trust the world, our culture, a friend, celebrities, athletes, or anyone or anything that appears to have life all figured out. We then discover that life is not an episode of Glee. Life is not easily fixed by writing a good breakup song. Life’s stats don’t start fresh with a new football season. The good news is that God’s promise is different. The psalmist reminds us God is not like these mortals and is worthy of our praise!

Who should we trust?
