Rev. Joel Winckler earned his BA and Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary, and was ordained as Deacon in 1993, and as a full Elder in the Dakotas Conference in 1996. He has served the Dakotas Conference churches of Jamestown St. Paul's, Harrisburg, Aberdeen First, Bismarck Calvary and Sterling, and Fargo Calvary. Before joining the appointive cabinet in 2020, Joel was appointed to Jamestown St. Paul's UMC. Joel is married to Kris and they now live in Mandan, North Dakota.
