Course Description: The Start-up Incubator is an onboarding, discovery process to integrate newly appointed church planters or those exploring start up projects into the skills, behaviors, and tools of a church planter, develop a process to begin gathering people, and a plan that they can begin to use. 

Course Objectives:

• Develop the identity of a UM church planter.
• Develop a grasp of the overall scope and sequence required in start up work. 
• Clearly identify the people in the ministry context in which you are planting through demographics. 
• Develop a multiplication mindset with a grasp of leadership selection and development.  
• Develop tools to use Design Thinking in choosing a church planting strategy.  
• Develop methods for community engagement, networking and gathering.  
• Develop a sustainability plan as relates to funding.
• Develop an understanding of large launch planning.  
• Develop a strategy to engage new people through social media.
• Develop a communication strategy for messaging your vision.  

Schedule:  Monday, February 18 and Tuesday, February 19, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm  
Location:  Asbury United Methodist Church, Sioux Falls SD
