Discernment Retreat (One Day): This retreat is the entry point for those exploring a call to lay ministry and provides overview of the various lay ministry opportunities within the conference. If your church is interested in hosting a retreat, please contact the Leadership Development Office.
Lay Servant Ministries Classes (One Day): Classes are held throughout the year in various locations throughout the Dakotas. Class topics will vary, such as: youth ministry, leadership events, Mission u, breakthrough prayer workshops, and annual conference. Consider subscribing to the "Mondays @ Dakotas" e-newsletter for up-to-date information on events taking place around the Dakotas Conference.
Lay Speaking Retreat (Weekend): This retreat is great for those seeking credit for advanced certification. The retreat is open to everyone whether or not you have attended the Ministry Discernment Classes. The retreat is for those who are interested in gaining experience, receiving feedback, and practicing speaking and preaching in a positive and nurturing environment.
