Bishop Ough: My heart is heavy

In a special post-General Conference video message, Bishop Bruce R. Ough said his heart is heavy, discouraged, and wounded—and acknowledged that the same is true for many across the Dakotas-Minnesota Area. He noted that others within our theologically and culturally diverse Episcopal Area are likely grateful, perhaps even encouraged, by the results of the Special Session. He talks about what happened at the Special Session of General Conference, his dream for the church, and his hope and prayer for moving forward.

"I encourage all who may be disheartened, harmed, or ready to throw in the towel to remember this truth: The actions of the General Conference do not change who you are, or who we are, in Christ," he said.
