#Blessed Ephesians 1:7-8

“Do-over,” was a regular cry in my childhood backyard, no matter what game we were playing. The logic was that if we granted ourselves another chance, we would certainly improve upon the previous attempt. We were quick to take do-overs for ourselves, and often quicker to deny others the same opportunity.

Do we sometimes take that approach in our life of faith? Happy to take grace, but not so eager to see others get anything less than what they have coming to them. Convincing ourselves the sins of another person surely outweigh our own shortcomings is easy. Comprehending the extent of God’s grace is not. Grace is not ours for the taking but rather God’s for the giving. It is a gift to be received. God gives it so freely that it cannot be contained.

There aren’t enough do-overs in the world that would allow us to perfect the mistakes we make in our humanness. There is however a gracious God who understands and loves us anyway, all of us. What a gift indeed! #AmazingGraceHowSweetTheSound
