LAKE POINSETT, SD -- The Dakotas Conference conducted ministry school at Living Waters Retreat Center, Lake Poinsett, SD, July 22-28, 2012.  The first combined training for licensing local pastors and certified lay ministers was held. 

Inspiration and passion permeated throughout the week. “If you have to sit in class for almost twelve hours a day, it is such a blessing to have instructors who are wise, passionate and humorous.  This has been a great week, “ commented participant Teresa Whetsel

Eleven certified lay ministry candidates and eleven local licensed pastor candidates from the Dakotas, Minnesota and Iowa Annual Conference were present. 

Faulty for the licensing and lay ministry school were: Rev. Dr. Gary Ball-Killboourne, Rev. Dr. Rod Tkach, Rev. Dr. Chet Cataldo, Rev. Dr. Marilyn Spurrell, and Rev. Valarie Reihiller.  Jodi Cataldo, Dakotas Conference Director of Leadership Development served as the Dean.
