Rev. Dr. Stephen Perry, retired elder of the Dakotas Conference, invites all United Methodists in the Dakotas to join  in Praying our Way Forward this week August 20-26, 2017. 

Dear God,

How can we be one church if we plan to leave each other? How can we be a holy church if we do not love our enemies? How can we be a catholic church if we do not listen? How can we be a missionary church if we do not want to love everybody?

So, we pray: Help us to love everybody. Help us to listen. Help us to love our enemies. Help us to stay with each other. And show us the way forward to the Church of Jesus Christ. Amen.
