The 27th session of the Dakotas Annual Conference will take place on June 10-13, 2020, at the Sioux Falls Convention Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This year the Dakotas and Minnesota Conferences will hold a joint conference, with separate business sessions and combined worship and learning opportunities. The theme of our joint Annual Conference is "Be the Light: Live Hope!" and will center around our gospel imperative to heal a broken world.

Participants of the 2020 Annual Conference Session will address several legislative items including:

• 2021 Budget Proposal —The Conference Council Finance and Administration, CCFA, will submit a proposal for the 2021 apportioned budget. Currently, CCFA is seeking ways to reduce the request for apportioned funds.
• Quadrennial elections—Every four years, the conference elects officers, including the conference secretary, conference treasurer, and conference lay leaders.

Additional legislation can be submitted for consideration. All proposals for petitions and resolutions for the 2020 Dakotas Annual Conference Session must be submitted electronically by March 30, 2020.  Items should be created using the Petitions and Resolutions form here. The Dakotas Conference Petitions and Resolution Committee will review submissions before they are placed on the agenda for consideration at the 27th Session of the Dakotas Annual Conference.
