I have been a Christian for almost 70 years. You would think I had learned all that I need to know about Jesus, God, faith, and the Bible in 70 years. But NO! I am still learning AMAZING things. Accepting Christ was the starting place on my faith journey. But I am more excited about my faith and about my role in God’s work on this earth than I have ever been.

This faith adventure is so rich for me not only because I have attended church all these years, but also because of the diverse people with whom I have journeyed. I have friends and mentors who challenge the things I have always believed, who say things that send me digging through Scripture to figure out what it means for me. I have countless conversations with people of other traditions and faiths, who share their beliefs and listen when I share my mine. When students ask me questions I don’t know the answers to, I go to the Bible or to my pastors searching for answers.
