Lorraine Werner, age 96, passed to glory on Saturday, April 8, 2023, in Bradenton, Florida. Lorraine is a former lay preacher; wife of Rev. Edwin H. Werner, deceased elder of the Dakotas Conference; grandmother of Rev. Thanael Certa-Werner serving Cavalier Trinity in Dakotas Annual Conference; mother of Rev. Joel Certa-Werner serving in the Wisconsin Conference; and Rev. David Werner serving in the Minnesota Conference.

Lorraine served as a local pastor under appointment to Rolla / Dunseith  and Antelope. Together Lorraine and Ed served the Dakotas Conference at Walcott / Kindred; McCluskey / Mercer;  Tappen / Medina;  Marion; Hazen /  Buelah / Zap;  Pembina / Humboldt / Joliette;  Harvey /  Martin  / Chaseley; Bowbells / Coteau / Kenmare / Donnybrook; and Rolla / Dunseith.

A memorial service is being planned for this summer and she will be interred in Jamestown, North Dakota.
